At Downtown Dental, the technology we use helps to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run smoothly.
Since we are able to use our digital X-ray machines to display the results of scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth that we have detected and walk you visually through your treatment plan.

Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of photographic X-ray film like the kind used for non-digital X-rays.
Digital X-rays produce highly-detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, in addition to any other oral structures and conditions. This allows our dental team to examine parts of your mouth that aren't visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic X-rays enable your dentist to create a single image of your whole mouth. This image is a flattened representation of the teeth, lower jaw, upper jaw, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus structures.
Panoramic X-rays are often used by dentists to help to plan the placement of braces, implants and dentures, or to prepare for extractions.
